We have an exciting opportunity for a cutting edge design consultancy who specialise within the F1 and Motorsport markets based in Germany. Our client is recruiting for a number of Mechanical Design Engineers with an ambition to be part of a team developing engines and engine components. As a qualified Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and detailing of structural parts within the engine, but also be able to carry out a broad spectrum of works within the team including detailing, release notes, revision sheets etc.

Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical engineering or relevant engineering knowledge combined with a proven track record within a similar environment.
- Experience with ideally engine design within the field of motorsport, at least passenger car engine design experience
- Experience of CATIA V5 is a "must have" (especially advance surfacing / solid design)
- Experience of CATIA FEA module of advantage

Experienced in / with following Components/Processes:
- Casting process
- Manufacturing technologies
- Layout and detail design incl. drawings for
Cylinder head / incl. Port and combustion chamber design
Crankcase or sump design incl. scavenge systems
Front-cover and cam-cover design
Exhaust and Inlet system
Water pump and oil pump
