Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly capable engineer to lead the Stress Section within our Design
Office.
You will work closely with the Chief Designers and be required to liaise with other design sections, the Aero
Department, R&D, Manufacturing etc. Your primary responsibility is to provide technical advice and leadership
to a group of Stress Engineers. As part of this role you will be in charge of the development and definition of the
section’s procedures and processes, including material application and surface finish specifications.
The ideal candidate will have:
• A good working knowledge for a number of the following software packages: Altair Hyperworks, Simulia
Abaqus, MSC Patran/Nastran, GRM Genesis/OptiAssist, Helius MCT, CatiaV5, FibreSim & Matlab
• A substantial level of FEA experience of both metallic & composite materials
• A high level of failure analysis experience of both metallic & composite materials
• A proven track record of high technical achievement and strong management skills
Candidates for the above positions will need to be self motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision
to tight deadlines, and be confident in communicating in a team environment.
