Job Title: Engine Test Technician
Section: Automotive
Duration: 26 Weeks +

Our automotive manufacturing client currently requires a Engine Test Technicians who will be involved in the development, commissioning and operation of steady state and transient test beds including the support to commission of new systems.

Installation and testing of production and development engines and engine hardware to support the execution of test requests.
Ensure the accuracy and repeatability of test data through relevant calibrations, adherence to test operating conditions and completion of all associated documentation.
General maintenance of the test facilities adhering to defined TPM schedules.
Constructive reporting of test issues or failures using established company systems e.g. faults database.
Flexibility to move between various test facilities to complete the test requirements as demand dictates.
Maintain a high standard of tidiness and cleanliness in all working areas.

We are looking for someone with:

Previous experience of engine testing and test automation systems preferred.
Sound mechanical knowledge of engine components and engines.
Engine electrical and electronic systems knowledge preferred.
Aptitude for computing including MS Office.
Engineering apprenticeship/educated to BTEC/HNC/HND level.

Good communications to customers and support services.
Able to support other areas of the department as required.
