CONTRACT DESIGN ENGINEER (6 Month Contract)
A vacancy has arisen for highly skilled Design Engineer, reporting to the Senior Design Engineer.

The successful candidate will assist in the development of new and current projects within our onsite wind tunnels and simulators. Creation and maintenance of CAD models associated with these projects.

Key Accountabilities/Duties

* Design and development engineering systems quickly, accurately and in a manner appropriate to ease of manufacture and assembly.
* Generating CAD models and detail drawings of engineering systems, jigs, fixtures, etc. to a standard required for internal or external manufacture.
* Maintaining CAD assemblies and updating them clearly as required.
* Assist in coordination of design and manufacturing programmes and with testing and calibration of equipment
* Generation of innovative, practical ideas for improving the quality and productivity of the design process
* Assistance with the strengthening of team spirit within the group , while working within company policies including for health and safety

The successful candidate will ideally be educated to degree level and have a minimum of two years experience in a similar role.

Flexibility in hours and approach is required, along with a ‘can do’, ‘team-playing’ attitude and the ability to work under minimal supervision, to strict deadlines.
