Job Title: Composite Design Engineer

Due to an increase in business our prestigious Automotive Client based in Germany are currently looking to recruit a number of Composite Design Engineers. As a Design Engineer you will use Catia V5 to design, develop and modify Composite components and assemblies including structural and bodywork for the motorsport industry. As the successful Design Engineer you will have a proven track record of design within the Formula 1 or Formula 2 or general motorsport environment coupled with solid Catia V5 and composite knowledge.

The Composite Design Engineer will be tasked with the following.

• Concept scheming and designing of composite components or assemblies (mainly structural and bodywork parts)
• Composite component pattern & mould design
• Design of tooling & jigs for composite assemblies
• Generating detailed specifications for various composite components (also for associated component testing)

Qualifications required:
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (time served HNC, HND etc)
• Sound knowledge and hands on experience of Carbon-Composite design technologies & laminate definition including structural components & crash structures
